To Handle Transnational Crimes, Indonesia-Canada Strengthen Bilateral Partnership

Indonesia and Canada agreed to cooperate in handling transnational criminal and terrorism.

The signing of the memorandum is a history of Indonesia-Canada 61st year of working together and the signing was attended by Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Marty Natalegawa and Canada Ministry of Foreign Affairs, John Baird.  Both Indonesia and Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs discussed few efforts that has been done and finding opportunities in working together like promoting trade and investment, prevention of transnational crime and counter-terrorism, law and human rights, education, aviation, farming, agriculture and forestry, as well as socio-cultural. Besides that, Indonesia and Canada have been working together during the Economic Forum in order to improve trade and investment between Canada and Indonesia. Canada will participate in APEC Leader in Bali.
